Poorness, The Social Issues in Indonesia

Indonesia is a country that has many citizens. But, there are many social issues which happened among us. For example, the social issue which can’t be solved is poorness. The level of poorness in Indonesia is very high. Our economy levels depend on average income. But, Indonesia has low average income. This problem has a relation with the educational issues in Indonesia. Because, there are many people that didn’t have enough education to take a job. They were ignored in many jobs. Most of them didn’t graduate the Elementary School and Junior High School. Nowadays, the graduate certificate of Senior High School is difficult to be accepted in many jobs. So, they just depend on their physical abilities in take a job, such as sewing, cleaning, and others. For sewing, they must have ability to sew the cloth. And, many of them just can be a cleaning services or housemaid. We sure, the jobs which depend on the physical ability, produce a low income.

          But, ironically, many poor people produce income by sell themselves. They will do anything to get money, because they must finance their life. They can sell their body organ because they need much money. For example, they can sell their liver and kidney. But, in the city, there are many people, especially female, who sell “themselves”. They want to get more money. And usually, this issue happened among the teenagers. They can get much money from the people that want themselves for a night maybe. This is also a social problem, because there was no moral education. Their parents must give more attention for their children, especially their daughters. They must give more attention by talking face to face friendly to their children, and control their society.

          So, to solve the poorness issues, our government has an important role, because they have responsibility of our economy condition. They must give more education and solve the educational issues in Indonesia. They must give more job opportunities especially for the poor people. They can repair the facilities in many schools in village and backwardness areas, such as in Papua and the other primitive place. To solve the teenager problems, the parents and schools, especially the teachers have a really important role. They must give more moral education and attention to their children. But, they may not use a violence way. They must be closed to their children by be a friend. They must give more affection and control their children’s society. So, we can solve and prevent the social issues among the teenagers.

The Bad Quality of Education in Indonesia

Education is a right of everyone to get knowledge. And everyone have a right to reach a success. But, education in Indonesia have a bad quality from our seems. Because there were no decent facilities and means. Not only the bad facilities, the cost of education in Indonesia is so expensive. Many children can’t get education because they don’t have money to pay the education. This condition have a relation with a social issues in Indonesia, such as poorness. Their parents’ income just enough to fund their daily food, not to pay their education because of the high cost of education in Indonesia. Not only the poorness, the backwardness is also cause the children can’t get education. For example, children in the village have a limitation to get more education. The schools are located far from their village, so they must walk for many kilometers to reach their schools. But, the route which they must passed is so hard. They must cross the river, breach the forest, and pass the wood bridge. When they arrived at school, they must be tired, and there is no passion to study. This condition can cause the laziness among the students.

Different with the education in the village or among the poorness, in the city, the schools are completed by many facilities. But, what happened? The students don’t utilize the facilities. They didn’t find their talent. They can’t develop their talent by use the facilities. This is an irony, isn’t it? Most of them don’t think that many children outside there who can’t get education because there were no facilities.

Our government must pay more attention for the children who can’t get education because the high cost and there were no facilities. They must give help to them, because the bad condition of their economy. The facilities must be complete. For the education in the city, the government must give more chance for the students to dig their potency or talent. Because we know that their talent are so amazing, because full of creativity. Their schools and parents must pay more attention to find their interests and talents. But, our government didn’t pay more attention for the children, because they just focus on the implementation of National Exam. They don’t think for the mental of students. Most of students in Indonesia feel depressed because the news about implementation of 2013 National Exam is so terrible. And the paper quality was so bad.

So, the government must consider the student attitude in their school. Their school, specially their teacher certainly know about the students progress in their study. And the graduation not only depend on the National Exam, but their progress in school too. So, there is an achievement for their attitude in school.

Deforesation and Flood, as The Environmental Damages in Indonesia

Indonesia is the biggest archipelago country in the world, because Indonesia has so many islands. It can reach millions islands. Indonesia has so many beautiful places that “tease”  many tourists from the nother country to visit Indonesia. Because of that, the places’ environment must be kept by us, Indonesian people. But, in fact, the beauty of Indonesia is decreasing day by day. So many things that can damage our environment. As the respond to this environment issues, people need to do some actions. What should we do?

As we have known before, our environment can be damaged by two factors, from the natural disaster and from human activities. From natural disasters, we can take earthquake dan volcanic eruption as an example. They are caused by the shiftin plates of our earth. Of course we know that the shifting can’t be predicted by human. But, most of environmental damage is caused by human activities. For example, deforestation that wildly done by some persons who are not responsible. They took the advantage from the trees or woods from the forests, but left the badlands. The badlands can be causing the disasters such as flood and land slide. The people’s safety around there is threatened by the disasters.

The more easy and simple example is so many people take out the trash not in the litter box. They threw the trash out to the roadway or the gutter around us. This is so dangerous, isn’t it? Because the trash can create so many diseases. And also the trash which clog the gutter can be causing the flood when the rainy season comes. Because there is no more catchment areas for the water.

From the examples that have been explained above, we didn’t just stay quiet watching the environmental damages keep going on. We must do some action, from the cope action to the prevent action. To cope the environmental damages, we can clean the gutter from the trash. So, the flood can be decreasing. For some persons who are not responsible, they must be given by some punishment from the government because they didn’t  obey the rules of environmental protection.

Not only cope action, we must do the prevent action. Such as, we can grow some plants or trees around our environment. We should take out the trash into the litter box. For some persons, they still can do the deforestation, but must be accompanied by the reforestation. The children must have much education about their environment, so they can keep the environment from the damages.

This is our earth, and Indonesia is our country, where we lived. So, we have a responsible to keep our environment from the damages. We should awake to keep our environment for our life later.

Komodo Island, One of The Seven Wonders of The World, From The Land of Indonesia

Indonesia has so many beautiful and amazing places, which “tease” the foreign tousists from the another country to visit Indonesia. The exotism from our country can’t be denied by world. For the example, we sure that all of the world know about Bali. They called Bali as Island of The Gods. In fact, many people think that the icon of Indonesia is Bali. But, not only has beautiful places, Indonesia also has a wealth of flora and fauna which are so various. And one of the fauna is Komodo Dragon. Komodo dragon is an ancient animal in the world that Indonesia had. Komodo dragon is so unique and exotic from the world’s sight. It is unique because if we see it, it’s like a giant lizard and its tounge is like a snake’s tounge. But, when we see its tail, it’s like a crocodile. This is so amazing, isn’t it?

Komodo dragon has a big body. Its length can be reached to 3 meters and its weight can be reached to 70 kilograms. Wow !!! Its weight is like a human, right? But, human did’t have height until 3 meters. Komodo dragon is also a dangerous animal. Maybe, it can eat people. It can attack everything that disturb its comfort. It has an exotic skin like a snake. In Indonesia, komodo dragons live in Komodo Island. The island is the conservation of komodo dragons. The condition of the island is adapted to its real habitat. Many foreign tourists come to this island to see the exotism of komodo dragon.

And now, we should be proud to be Indonesian, because komodo island has been one of The Seven Wonders of The World. So, we must keep komodo dragons from everything that can be the threat its life. And we must promote Komodo Island to be the amazing places that must be visited by the tourists. So, all of the world not only know about Bali, the Island of The Gods, but also know about komodo dragon and komodo island, the ancient animal that Indonesian had. Because komodo dragon is so unique and exotic animal from the land of Indonesia.
